About Us

David M. Ellis was born and raised in Baltimore City.  David was first involved in the title service industry in the summer of 1973 working part time as a runner for a title service while on summer breaks from school. After graduating in 1975 David traveled extensively until 1978 when he went to work for Valley Lighting of Towson Md. which set him on a path in the design industry ultimately taking him to Philadelphia. Upon returning to Baltimore in 1987 David joined his father as a partner in Fred’s Title and Tag Service Inc which his father started in 1963. At his father’s passing in 2006, David had expanded the business to include the restructuring of the corporation and creating National Title and Tag Service LLC.  While maintaining the Fred’s Title and Tag Service retail locations David created divisions under National Title and Tag Service to include a Remarketing Division and a Fleet Management Division. Being a part of the beginning of the Motor Vehicle Titling Association (MVTA) in 2010 David started as the Vice President, then becoming the President in 2014. After serving as President until 2017 he has returned to his position as Vice President. David currently lives in Baltimore County, and he and Deborah,  his wife of 30 years, have enjoyed raising their 3 children.
